7. Google User Data

SEOForge lets you connect your own Google Search Console and Google Analytics accounts so you can view your website's performance inside your SEOForge dashboard. When you choose to connect these accounts, we access, use, store, and protect the associated Google user data as described below. Connecting is entirely optional, and you can disconnect at any time.

Data we access

With your explicit consent through Google's OAuth screen, and only for the accounts and properties you select, we request the following read-only scopes:

  • Google Search Console (webmasters.readonly): your list of properties and search performance data such as clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position, queries, pages, countries, and devices.
  • Google Analytics (analytics.readonly): your list of Google Analytics 4 properties and aggregated traffic and engagement metrics such as users, sessions, page views, engagement rate, traffic channels, top pages, countries, and devices.

These scopes are read-only: we never create, modify, or delete any data in your Google accounts.

How we use this data

We use this Google user data solely to provide and improve the user-facing features you request — namely, to display your own search and analytics performance within your SEOForge dashboard (summary metrics, charts, and tables). We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized AI/ML models.

How we share this data

We do not sell your Google user data and do not share or transfer it to third parties, except with infrastructure sub-processors that operate the Service on our behalf (for example, our database and hosting providers) under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law.

How we protect this data

OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM, all data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and access is restricted to the authenticated user's own project.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your Google user data only for as long as your account remains connected, in order to render your dashboard. When you disconnect a Google account in SEOForge, or delete your SEOForge account, we promptly delete the stored OAuth tokens and the cached Search Console and Analytics data associated with it. You can also revoke SEOForge's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

Limited Use

SEOForge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice.
